DVMD10
The DVMD10 commemorative initiative is an important milestone for the DVMD diploma. This year marks the 10th graduating batch for the diploma, which started as the Diploma in Creative Media Design course back in 2004. As part of the celebration, the course will be launching an online video to share its journey and aspirations to the audience-at-large, but primarily targeted at industry practitioners to position the diploma as a highly relevant and aspiring one, producing graduates for the creative industry here and overseas.
The big idea
Portraying how demanding yet rewarding a designer's life can be, through the day-to-day activities of a graphic design student and an industry practitioner. Our video revolves around the question "Is it really worth it?" – a question people often ask us, and we sometimes ask ourselves as we struggle to obtain an optimal work-life balance and the fast-paced industry. However, the video itself answers the question with the idea that the true significance and joy of being a creative lies in the responsibility one has to create, inspire and make a difference.
COLLABORATORS: ANN, ADILA, JESSLYN, SANDRA
Music: 'Sun (Instrumental)' by Sleeping At Last
Talents: Erra Idham (Design Student) & Toh Xing Jie (Industry Practitioner)
